Located in Visalia, California. Close to Natural Wonders of the West Coast.

Known as the tree city, Visalia is located one hour from Sequoia Kings Canyon National Park where you will find the world-famous giant sequoia trees.  The Park is one of the great wonders of the world.   This is a great place for camping and enjoying marvelous week-end trips.

The city is centrally located 185 miles north of Los Angeles and 225 miles south of San Francisco at the junction of the 99 Fwy and Hwy 198.

Visalia is the county seat of Tulare County with a commercial and retail service  market of more than 450,000 people.  Visalia is the cultural, retail and medical center of the region and yet it maintains its small-town charm. 

The population of Visalia reaches 100,000.


Climate 

Average temperature is between 49° - 79°.  The rainy season is October through April.  Overall there is low rainfall.

 

 

 


Recreation and Leisure

Great opportunities for outdoor fun include water skiing, snow skiing, fishing, backpacking, mountain biking, and camping.

There are several public golf courses in the area and three private country clubs with golf courses.  

In the city, one can enjoy symphony concerts, jazz weekends, farmers market, four live theaters and many diverse restaurants.  The city enjoys 200 acres of  parks.

 


Shopping 

Goldstar Mobile Estates is closely located to major shopping malls which offers department stores, professional services and fine dining.  The city is the shopping hub of Kings and Tulare Counties.

Visalia offers a wide range of medical services.  It has 300-bed Kaweak Delta Hospital and community health center, a 60-bed rehabilitation center, a wellness center for cancer and cardiac patients.

  • Basic Techniques in Painting/Tole: Techniques involving basic strokes in blending and shading.

  • Basic Techniques in Painting/Water: Fundamentals in water painting.

  • Introduction to Computers for Seniors: Introduction to word processing, email, the Internet and the basics of the microcomputer.

  • Intermediate Computers for Seniors: Students will apply computer concepts learned in the introductory class.
